Production reports via text messaging

Using U.C.ME-OPC 2007 you may receive production reports directly to your cell phone or pager.
U.C.ME-OPC is designed to improve the productivity of manufacturing plants by converting plant floor data into critical business and operational information, making it available to you via cell phone or web browser, exactly when you need it.
Detailed, real-time alarm analysis
By providing additional plant floor parameters set to your cell phone, U.C.ME-OPC™ provides you with more, detailed information so you can have the complete picture at the moment of an alarm for a more accurate response. Alarms and production reports information are stored in an MS-Access™ or MS-SQL™ database. The data may be viewed from any computer on the network using a standard browser, such as Internet Explorer, for offline analysis and reporting at a later time.

OPC Alarm notification software - Escalation procedure using SMS

The Problem:
Alarm notification systems might be very annoying. In case of alarm, all recipients are getting the text message to their cell phone. Is it a must? Many customers are asking: "Can you send the alarm message to the 1st recipient, wait few minutes for acknowledge and only then send the message to the next recipient?"

The answer is Yes. U.C.ME-OPC™ the leading alarm notification software by Control-See supports this functionality. It enables the administrator to set the recipient list and the timeout between each recipient. U.C.ME-OPC™ will send the SMS to the first recipient, wait few minutes for a reply from the recipient. If no reply is received, U.C.ME-OPC™ will send the alarm to the next recipient until a response (acknowledge) is received. In such case, U.C.ME-OPC™ will stop the notification process for this alarm.

The benefits are:
1. Operators receive less alarms and thus are more responsive and more tolerant when they finally receive alarm messages.

2. Upper management is involved just in cases where operators did not respond.
3. Less SMS messages will reduce communication costs (when cost is per number of messages sent to the recipients).
